Impact @ WGA

Across Australia and New Zealand, we want to be known as people whose work leads to a ‘better world’, today, and for future generations.

As a business, the impact we have on our people, clients, and community matters. It is why we hold our “We Care” philosophy close to our hearts. What we do, how we work, and how we give back all contribute to our distinctive culture which places people and enjoyment at the centre of our business.

We aim to think and act differently, using our creative minds and ability to impact environmental and community outcomes with the technical work we deliver.

With the increasing concern on climate change, we will take our role seriously. We will facilitate the demand for public and private sectors to act with urgency to address the environmental impacts on our community.

Our Sustainability Workgroup ensures we invest our ‘energy’ in the right areas to reduce our Carbon Footprint. From solar panels to group-wide recycling schemes, green purchasing and carbon footprint calculation, our journey is only heading forwards; after all, change starts with us.

Management Systems

Our operations are carried out in accordance with our quality assurance, OHS and Environmental Management systems, which are third-party accredited and audited by SAI Global.

Corporate Philanthropy and Social Responsibility

We are passionate about raising awareness and supporting not-for-profit organisations that lay close to our hearts. And it’s not all talk and no action, our people are active in the community using their Charity Leave to really help make a difference, where it matters most.

Diversity and Inclusion

At WGA, we strongly believe in creating a sense of belonging and a workplace where people want to be and stay.

Our Diversity and Inclusion workgroup drives action to improve diversity across our organisation, promote high performance and engagement, and make WGA a great workplace.

Our environment will be safe, diverse, and inclusive through our programs and initiatives. A place where different perspectives are encouraged and a place to show up and be who you want to be.

And, we will create enough space for people to thrive, professionally, personally, and psychologically.

We know that the more we listen to and learn from First Nations peoples, the more we understand the right way forward together.

Connected through our work on land and sea, our vision for reconciliation is to engage with First Nations people in all the jurisdictions WGA operate to ensure appropriate opportunity is afforded, cultural heritage is respected and preserved, and relationships are fostered.

In commencing our reconciliation journey with the development of our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan, we are honoured to join the thousands of businesses and individuals across Australia to engage, educate, collaborate, and integrate with our First Nations peoples.
