South Melbourne Primary School has been named Future Project of the Year

South Melbourne Primary School (Ferrars Street) has been named Future Project of the Year at the World Architecture Festival 2016 – the world’s largest global architectural awards program and festival. SMPS won the Education – Future Projects category, and went on to be selected the overall winner. Situated in the Fisherman’s Bend Urban Renewal Area, the 5 storey ‘Vertical School’ concept was selected to maximise space in the compact inner urban site.

WGA undertook the civil and structural engineering, for architect Hayball.
