As a follow-up to R U OK? day WGA has hosted two Beyondblue Speaker Bureau volunteers over the last fortnight. Mary Jo Fisher and Penny McAuley shared their personal mental health battles and information on resources that are available to those who may be struggling. The aim was to continue the conversation and increase awareness about mental health in the workplace and encourage staff to look out for themselves and one another. Our next step will be to set up and train a group of volunteer Mental Health First Aid Officers.
