Work starting on the Australian Bragg Centre (formerly SAHMRI 2)

We’re excited to see work starting on the Australian Bragg Centre (formerly SAHMRI 2).

We’re providing structural, civil and geotechnical engineering for the project which will house Australia’s first proton therapy unit, as well as other crucial cancer research and treatment facilities. This will bring lifesaving treatment to cancer patients who would normally have to travel overseas to access this very specialised treatment.

We’ve worked closely with proton therapy experts in the USA to design the complex basement structure to incredibly sensitive displacement requirements.

The Australian Bragg Centre is the next building in Adelaide’s world class BioMed City development, and we are proud to continue our involvement after also delivering the $2.3bn Royal Adelaide Hospital and UniSA’s $250m Cancer Research Institute.

We’re thrilled to be able to deliver projects of this scale and significance to support the South Australian Government’s vision for world-leading healthcare and research.
