Supporting the ongoing growth of our Victorian business, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Hyatt as Joint Regional Manager for Victoria.

Matt brings over 27 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams to efficiently deliver complex transport, water, mining and industrial infrastructure projects.

He joins us from pitt&sherry where he held the position of Regional Area Manager for the Victorian office. He led projects through the MRPV Panel, including Childs Road, Western Roads Upgrade, Yarra Trams Panel and MTM Panel. Before that, he spent over two decades at Aurecon as Technical Director and a Unit Manager.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and is a Fellow and Chartered Professional Engineer, Engineers Australia (FIEAust CPEng EngExec NER APEC Engineer IntPE(Aus)). He is also a Certified Practising Project Director with the Australian Institute of Program Management (MAIPM CPPD).

Working alongside Cameron Jackson, who has led the Victorian team for 24 years, the joint leadership enables the continued deep connection to clients, projects, and people with over 110 staff now located in our St Kilda Road office.

“Finding someone with the skills and experience required at this time in our business is not easy, and even more so is finding someone who is the right cultural fit. Matt ticks both these boxes, fully understanding and in sync with WGA’s values, and crucially, will be the perfect complement to Cameron’s skillset and expertise” says Ben Stapleton, Joint Managing Director.

Excited to commence the role in July, Matt commented, “Only a few times in your career do you get an opportunity to be part of an organisation that is so humanistic whilst delivering such critical elements of Victorian infrastructure. I just had to be part of it.”

We have no doubt that Matt and Cameron will thrive together in this joint leadership role and continue to drive the growth of the Victorian business.
