We are our people, is a constant reminder and an attitude that we keep embracing time and time again.
It’s one of the many reasons why we never miss out on the opportunity to celebrate our people’s success!
Join us in congratulating Russell Perry, one of the latest additions to the Senior Associate squad.
At WGA, we place a high value on our people adopting active ownership of who we are and what we do. Our Associateships are a true reflection of it. They are thoughtfully curated to ensure the leaders are chosen beyond the conventional influences of tenure, seniority, title or position. The path to becoming a Senior Associate is lined with being an empowered individual committed to delivering top outcomes for the business by bringing out the best across the internal teams, and external contributors alike.
To Russell, a leader is someone who puts others ahead of oneself and leads by example.
“Existing WGA Senior Associates are leaders with core attributes that I have always aspired to emulate (in one way or another) and therefore it’s a huge honour to be named as one of their peers” he shared.
The path to becoming a Senior Associate is lined with being an influential individual committed to results. Their impact can deliver top outcomes for the business by bringing out the best across the internal teams, and external contributors alike.
In doing so, Russell says building the QLD office takes the cake as the greatest career highlight in the last 18 months.
“Building the QLD office alongside Baden Harrison and the other team originals (from 4 to 28 and counting) has to be right up there. On reflection my greatest highlight is that I have found a bunch of like-minded individuals pulling in the same direction- I have a place where I fit!”.
Russell is an active member of Ports Australia and PIANC. His collaborations have strengthened the internal network, specifically the connections to Resources, Industrial and Ports/Marine across the Group.
