Get ready for the sweetest news of the year!
Much to the delight of chocolate lovers across Australia, Haigh’s Chocolates revealed design plans followed by a groundbreaking ceremony for their massive 36,000 square-meter manufacturing facility.
WGA is thrilled to be part of the design team for this project, providing Civil, Structural, Traffic, and Geotechnical engineering services. The plant is designed to host cutting-edge production facilities, spacious warehousing, and online fulfilment.
Salisbury South, of South Australia, is set to be the home of the new 130-million-dollar facility and marks the single largest infrastructure investment ever made by this oldest family-owned chocolate maker in the country. Combined with a perfect blend of artisanal expertise and modern technology, the factory plans to be fully operational in the second half of 2025 and ready to take on the increased demand and growth opportunities in the confectionery industry.
