National Reconciliation Week

As National Reconciliation Week begins on the 27th May, now more than ever we’re paving the way to reconciliation through listening and learning to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and our shared history.

We were excited to hold a special early event, where Cliffy ‘Tangku Munaitya’ Wilson from Kuma Kaaru gave a Welcome to Country before introducing speaker Dr Jenni Caruso Saltbush Consulting to share her personal experiences as a member of the Stolen Generations, along with the contemporary impacts of Aboriginal history across the 20th century.

Over 320 of our team embraced the opportunity to connect with Dr Jenni’s insightful stories and knowledge, in which she encouraged curiosity and understanding.

We want to thank Cliffy and Dr Jenni for guiding WGA through our reconciliation journey, opening doors to a richer understanding. Now more than ever, we need reconciliation.
