Brenton Harris
Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer
ADL
Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer
As principal Geotechnical Engineer in our Adelaide office, Brenton brings an extensive knowledge of engineering issues associated with the soil and geology across South Australia.
His broad geotechnical skills have seen him work on a variety of projects, including design of temporary works for major transport infrastructure, independent design certification of bridge footings and retaining walls, as well as slope stability assessments and soft soil improvement strategies.
Where required, Brenton will design and implement geotechnical investigations that comprise both geophysical testing and conventional investigation techniques, to provide a detailed yet cost effective understanding of the subsurface conditions and geotechnical risks, tailored for every project.
It’s this forward-thinking approach, ingenuity and practical knowledge that gives Brenton an accurate sense of determining project requirements. He continually strives to access increasingly sophisticated software, melding new technological advances with the more traditional, empirical methodologies to model soil structure interaction. Brenton blends this comprehensive approach with his industry expertise and ability to work in close collaboration with stakeholders to provide the best possible project outcomes for his clients.
In addition to his consulting work, Brenton also spent more than a decade as an active committee member of the South Australian Geomechanics Society.
