Carmen Selway
Senior Project Manager
ADL

Carmen began her career as a Structural Engineer and has undertaken structural designs for Infrastructure, Industrial and Defence projects. She has also been involved with extensive structural assessments and risk management of SA Water’s assets. This experience has fostered Carmen’s enthusiasm in learning about the technical aspects of projects and provided her with a critical knowledge and skillset in understanding the intricacies of detailed design phases of projects, and the importance of collaboration and integration between engineering disciplines.

Carmen’s project management skills involve management of a design team, stakeholder engagement, contract administration and project controls. A career highlight has been her significant involvement in the Waterproofing Eastern Adelaide project, which she found highly rewarding being part of a project which is helping improve South Australia’s water security and sustainability. Carmen gained invaluable experience through managing complex stakeholder requirements and numerous construction contractors.

Carmen is the 2017 Chair of the Adelaide FutureNet Committee; a group for young professionals working in the built environment industry whose focus is to build the non-technical skills and networks of its members. An ambassador for FutureNet for 4 years, Carmen believes it is important to provide a forum in which to develop future industry leaders.

Carmen’s project experience includes:

  • Waterproofing Eastern Adelaide
