Richard is a Chartered Professional Civil Engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in a range of civil, coastal and maritime engineering development and infrastructure projects across five continents.

He has undertaken numerous technical design and design/construction management, project and contract management roles and overseeing a range of projects from concept development, managing on-site investigations, detailed design to final site construction and implementation.

He has significant project experience in channel design, dredging, revetment/seawalls/breakwaters and port planning and development, including metocean studies, vessel simulation, geophysical and geotechnical investigations, numerical and physical modelling, channel, turning basin and berth design and layouts.
