As the BIM Technology Manager, Tony brings over 30 years experience to his role at WGA. His impressive work history spans the structural, civil, architectural, mechanical and mining sectors. With an impressive 23 years at WGA, Tony leads the team in recommending and implementing state-of-the-art technology, software customisation, protocols, project BIM strategies and training.

Tony has always had an interest and passion for technology and the way it is used in the AEC industry. A major career highlight was his three-year role as Civil and Structural BIM Lead on the $2.1B new Royal Adelaide Hospital. Citing the work undertaken as revolutionary in its approach, it has since been recognised Nationally and Internationally as a landmark project in its application of advance technology on such a large-scale. He enjoyed the opportunity to implement groundbreaking technology and to see first hand the fundamental impact cutting edge BIM strategies and systems can positively influence the industry. The project has had far reaching results, with high-level industry stakeholders and members now adept in the use of progressive technology and software systems.

Collaboration with industry leaders, partners and suppliers is a critical component of Tony’s role. He enjoys working with a diverse range of people across a broad scope of projects, and welcomes the opportunity each project brings to introduce new technologies to both internal colleagues and external partners. As a long-term associate at WGA, Tony leads with a hands-on approach by mentoring graduates, and sharing his knowledge and expertise with his colleagues at every opportunity. He recognises the importance of exchanging skills and brings an unrivalled technology based expertise to the team.
