Torrens Road to River Torrens Project
The first Alliance contract for a major road project in South Australia, this project involves the design and construction of the next 3.7km section of the North-South Corridor and consists of a new lowered motorway, with three lanes in each direction, passing beneath the Grange Road/Manton Street intersection, Port Road and the Hawker/Hurtle Street intersection. The design features a temporary signalised roundabout at the South Road intersection with Grange Road/Manton Street to allow the bridge to be constructed within the island created by this solution, delivering significant budget savings. WGA led the traffic analysis, road design, pavements, geotechnical and lighting teams, and provided support in the areas of structures, retaining walls, temporary works, construction verification, drainage and services.
