Hazelwood Power Station closed its doors in March 2017. Located in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley, it once supplied approximately 22% of the State’s energy requirements.
WGA has been engaged by Delta Group to undertake a third-party review for the demolition of the facility, including the blast felling of dredgers, stacks and boilers.
WGA is also undertaking ground vibration analysis to assess the impact of the proposed demolition methodology on a nearby switchyard which continues to feed power to the State of Victoria. Hazelwood Power Station demolition is the largest demolition project in the Southern Hemisphere and is an important project for the state of Victoria.
