Singapore has the world’s second busiest port which continues to grow. To meet the growing demand, several of the ageing ship-to-shore container cranes are to be dismantled and replaced with more modern cranes that have larger capacity and reach.
WGA has been engaged to assist with the methodology and planning of the replacement program. Container cranes can be 100m high and weigh up to 1000t each. We have completed a 3D visualisation showing the demolition yard layout, selection of cranes for the major heavy lifts and equipment to be used for shearing and processing the steel before it is shipped out by barge.
