WGA completed the structural and civil design, including construction support for the Warradarge Wind Farm project in Western Australia for Decmil Australia. The project is a 180MW wind farm consisting of 51 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and included approximately 42 km’s of access roads.

The geotechnical investigation data was interpreted by our specialist Geotechnical Team to ensure the Structural Team had all required soil parameters to design the mass gravity foundation.  The foundation required an increased amount of fatigue analysis to ensure the correct strength of concrete was selected.  This was vital in keeping costs down.

Given our extensive experience in this area of the state, we were best placed to offer a suitable civil design inclusive of road and hardstand pavements and associated drainage.  The civil design utilised V-drains and floodways to capture and discharge surface water.
