A Principal Traffic Engineer, Leenah brings over 13 years of experience delivering transport and traffic engineering solutions across Australia. Having worked in both consulting and local government, she offers a well-rounded perspective that combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of client needs and project delivery.
Leenah’s journey into engineering began with a passion for solving complex problems, creating better places, and improving how people move through and experience communities. She quickly discovered that successful transport solutions rely on more than engineering alone, bringing together transport planning, economics, land use planning and strategic decision-making to achieve lasting benefits.
From client collaboration and business development to industry engagement and mentoring the next generation of engineers, Leenah thrives on the diversity her role offers. In addition, she manages WGA’s delivery under the Building Tasmania 4100 Panel, chairs Young IPWEA Tasmania, and is an Engineers Australia STEM X Mentor.
Since joining WGA in 2025, Leenah has played a key role in leading major transport projects and multidisciplinary teams across Tasmania. More recently, her focus has expanded from technical delivery to strategic leadership. As Transport Market Leader for Tasmania, she focuses on building strong relationships and growing both WGA’s transport capability and its presence in Tasmania.
