FAQ Page

This FAQ has been prepared for our valued clients to keep communication open, clear and practical as WGA begins integration with AtkinsRéalis following completion of the transaction. It explains what has changed, what remains the same, and how we will continue to support clients through this period.

General Overview

In summary, clients can expect continuity in project delivery, contracts, contacts, leadership and local decision-making. Integration activity is underway, but it will be managed carefully and communicated clearly where it has any direct impact on clients.

What are the key headlines?

As of 14 September 2026, the transaction is complete and AtkinsRéalis holds a 100% shareholding in WGA GH Pty Ltd. WGA will continue to operate as part of the AtkinsRéalis Group, with integration now underway. WGA will be known as WGA, An AtkinsRéalis Company.

This acquisition brings together the strengths of WGA, LDE, ADG, and AtkinsRéalis: trusted local teams, long-standing client relationships, deep regional knowledge, specialist advisory capability and the global reach, technical depth and resources of AtkinsRéalis.

For clients, this means access to broader capability where it adds value, delivered by the same trusted people and teams, with continuity and service remaining central to how we work.

What does this acquisition mean for you as our clients?

The acquisition brings together strong local businesses across Australia and New Zealand with the global expertise, systems and resources of AtkinsRéalis. By bringing WGA, LDE, and ADG into the wider AtkinsRéalis Group, clients will have access to a broader and more connected range of capability to support their evolving needs.

For clients, that means the same trusted WGA teams, relationships and local knowledge, supported by greater depth, specialist expertise and increased capacity where a project needs it. This may include additional support across key markets, including Defence, rail and complex infrastructure, while keeping local delivery and client relationships at the centre.

How will integration be managed?

Integration is underway and will be managed carefully over time. Our priority is to maintain continuity for clients while bringing the businesses together in a thoughtful and measured way. Any changes that directly affect client projects, relationships, systems or processes will be communicated clearly and with appropriate notice.

Will there be any disruption to ongoing work?

No. There are no changes to your project timelines, deliverables or day-to-day contacts as a result of the acquisition. Integration is being managed in the background by WGA and AtkinsRéalis, and your project team will continue as it is. If anything needs your attention, we will raise it directly and early.

What remains unchanged for clients?

For now, the key things clients rely on remain unchanged: your WGA contacts, project teams, delivery approach, current contracts, project timelines and local project leadership. WGA will continue to operate with the relationship-led, responsive and technically focused approach our clients know.

Will I still be working with the same WGA people?

Yes. Existing client relationships, project teams, and day-to-day contacts will remain in place.

You will continue working with the same people you know and trust, supported by local teams, insight and expertise developed over decades of working alongside our clients. Over time, clients may also benefit from access to additional expertise and resources where it adds value to their project.

Will our projects still be run from Australia and New Zealand?

Yes. Your projects will continue to be led and delivered by the same WGA teams you work with in Australia and New Zealand.

Where broader specialist expertise from the wider Group could support your project, we will discuss this with you first. It is there to add value where needed, not to change the people leading or delivering your work.

Are our current contracts valid? Do our contracts or billing need to change?

There are no changes to contracts, invoicing, bank details, delivery models or points of contact as a result of the acquisition. If any future changes are required, they will be communicated clearly and with appropriate notice.

Will anything change later?

Some changes may occur over time as integration progresses, but they will be considered carefully and communicated clearly. If a future change affects the way clients work with us, we will explain what is changing, why it is changing, when it will happen, and who to contact with questions.

Do we need to update supplier, procurement or vendor records?

There are no immediate changes required to supplier, procurement or vendor records unless we contact you directly. Existing WGA details, contact points and billing arrangements remain in place for now. If any administrative updates are required in the future, we will provide clear instructions and timing.

Who do I contact for tender opportunities?

Your WGA contacts remain the same, so please continue to reach out to them as normal for tender opportunities, proposals or procurement-related enquiries. Contact information remains unchanged.

Who’s actually in charge now?

Project decisions, delivery, and day-to-day leadership will continue to sit locally with the WGA team you already know.

WGA is now part of the AtkinsRéalis Group of Companies, which provides the support of a larger global organisation while keeping project leadership close to the clients and teams who know the work best.

Will this affect conflicts, probity or independence requirements?

We understand that some clients may need to consider probity, conflict management or independence requirements as a result of the change in ownership. If this applies to your project or procurement process, please speak with your usual WGA contact so we can work through the appropriate requirements with you.

Has anything changed about how you handle our data?

Your data will continue to be managed through appropriate access, protection, and approval processes. Confidential information will remain protected through WGA’s existing systems and controls unless we advise you otherwise.

Your usual WGA contact will be happy to answer any questions or connect you with the right team if you need further assurance.

Who is AtkinsRéalis?

AtkinsRéalis is a global engineering, design and project management company headquartered in Montréal, Canada. The business operates in more than 50 countries and provides services across the asset lifecycle, including consulting, advisory, environmental services, design and engineering, project and construction management, operations and maintenance, and capital delivery. AtkinsRéalis has been looking for opportunities to grow its presence in Australia and New Zealand.

 Why is AtkinsRéalis acquiring WGA?

AtkinsRéalis and WGA are aligned in the way we work: putting people first, building strong client relationships and maintaining a clear focus on technical excellence. The acquisition supports AtkinsRéalis’ growth in Australia and New Zealand while building on the local strengths that have made WGA successful.

WGA brings deep regional knowledge, trusted client relationships and established local leadership. AtkinsRéalis complements these strengths with global scale, digital capability and access to an extensive international network of technical specialists.

Together, the organisations bring local insight and relationships together with broader global resources and expertise.

What makes AtkinsRéalis a good fit for WGA?

AtkinsRéalis is a global engineering and project delivery company with experience delivering complex infrastructure, transport, defence and energy projects. While the AtkinsRéalis brand is still building recognition across Australia and New Zealand, the organisation has an established presence in the region and has chosen to grow by partnering with businesses with strong local reputations, deep client relationships and a clear understanding of their markets.

That approach makes the combination with WGA, LDE, and ADG a strong fit. Together, we bring local knowledge, specialist expertise, trusted relationships and entrepreneurial thinking, supported by the scale, global capability and technical depth of AtkinsRéalis.

Importantly, this is not about replacing what has made WGA successful. It is about building on those strengths. Clients will continue to work with the same trusted teams and local decision-makers they know today, with access to a broader network of technical expertise, specialist capability and global resources where it supports project needs. Continuity remains at the heart of our approach, with integration focused on enhancing capability rather than changing the relationships that matter most.

How will this benefit clients? How will this impact product/service quality?

Clients will continue to work with the trusted local teams they know, with access to additional global expertise and specialist knowledge where it is relevant to their project needs. This may include broader project delivery capability, a wider range of services and increased capacity to support small, large or complex projects.

The combined organisations bring together strong local leadership and delivery capability, supported by the systems, digital tools and global resources of AtkinsRéalis.

Importantly, our focus remains unchanged: delivering high-quality, responsive and locally led services. The relationships, commitment and personalised approach our clients value today will remain at the heart of how we work.

Will existing clients be required to engage with AtkinsRéalis?

Existing WGA clients will continue to engage with the business in the same way as they do today, with no obligation to access AtkinsRéalis’ global services.

The transaction broadens the expertise available where it is relevant to client needs, but project requirements and client choice will continue to guide any broader collaboration.

Will leadership change and will WGA be rebranded to AtkinsRéalis?

WGA will continue to operate with its existing leadership team to support stability and continuity for employees and clients. In the short term, there will be some minor brand updates, with further changes considered over time. Any future brand decisions will be communicated clearly.

Are you still an AU and NZ Business?

Yes. WGA remains an Australia and New Zealand business, with local teams continuing to support clients and deliver projects across the region. AtkinsRéalis is a global company headquartered in Montréal, Canada, and listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The acquisition strengthens AtkinsRéalis’ presence in Australia and New Zealand by expanding its local footprint, capability, capacity and market strength.

What does this mean for clients now that integration has commenced?

The focus is simple: business as usual for our clients.

Integration is underway and we are taking a thoughtful and measured approach, with a clear focus on getting it right. Our priority is ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted experience for clients.

What matters most day to day remains unchanged: our people, our client relationships and our focus on delivering well. We are here to support you now and well into the future.

How will clients be kept informed during integration?

We will keep clients informed through direct communication from their usual WGA contacts, supported by broader updates where appropriate. Our aim is to communicate early, clearly and practically, particularly if integration activity has a direct impact on projects, relationships or day-to-day ways of working.

Need help, or get any questions for us?

If you have any questions about the acquisition or integration, please send us a question via SLIDO here, or speak with your usual WGA contact. They can answer your questions directly or connect you with the right person for further assurance.
