WGA was recently involved in the design of a purpose-built elevated stage housed in a movie theatre complex, as part of a plan by Gfinity to construct a permanent ‘e-sports’ venue for hosting gaming events in the heart of Sydney. Electronic Sports (eSports) involves competitive video game tournaments, and has become one of the fastest growing sports in the world and is already a billion-dollar industry. The tournament was broadcast on Channel One and via the Gfinity website (see link below).
