SAHMRI 2 will be the next building in SA’s $3.6bn Adelaide BioMed City, one of the largest health and life sciences precincts in the Southern Hemisphere. WGA is pleased to continue our involvement with the world-class precinct after recently completing both the $1.85bn new Royal Adelaide Hospital and UniSA’s $250m Cancer Research Institute. WGA is providing structural, civil and geotechnical consultancy for the $300m SAHMRI 2 project, which will house the southern hemisphere’s first proton therapy unit, as well as other crucial cancer research and treatment facilities as part of the Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy and Research.
