Since 2012, WGA has been sponsoring two staff members each year to work as volunteers in Tanzania with not-for-profit organisation Team Vista. Airfares and expenses are covered by WGA, as well as half pay for the duration and $500 spending money.
Recently, WGA staff Michael O'Flaherty & Joel Brown returned from a month-long trip, where their main project was working at the local Kaloleni primary school to install a new latrine system. The upgrades have supplied running water to each cubicle, resulting in significant improvements to hygiene and amenity.
Other projects included painting the outside and interior of the Deaf Sewing Club store that Team Vista Sponsors and fixing fencing on the Team Vista vegetable plot.
Team Vista was founded by WGA employee Caroline Mosha, to provide education and health care support to young children in a community on the outskirts of Moshi.
