WGA’s Darwin office has been providing civil engineering for the Tablelands Highway Upgrade Project Stages 1 & 2. Tablelands highway is a major highway in the NT, 10 hours outside of Darwin, which is essential to the transportation of cattle through connecting the Barkly and Carpentaria highways. The upgrade aims to improve road conditions and road safety, reduce travel time, improve freight capacity and improve connectivity for local communities particularly during the wet season. The project is due to be complete by late 2019.
