BHP Asset Integrity Management System

We recently provided engineering services to assist BHP Olympic Dam to fulfil their Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) at the Olympic Dam site. AIMS documents the process to identify, inspect, prioritise and remediate business critical equipment, to ensure the long term integrity of equipment and protect the wellbeing of all personnel and equipment. We developed engineering assessment reports for the four most common types of cranes at the Olympic Dam site which were identified as business-critical assets. The outputs from our reports helped develop common inspection procedures to be used in both the field and office, to assist maintenance staff. This process has since been developed into an introductory training module animation for BHP staff. This training module is a great example of a collaborative deliverable achieved by the WGA team and the client.
