The Project
WGA is supporting Power and Water Corporation in providing water for the remote community of Gapuwiyak, located in north-eastern Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.
The project aims to improve water security for the community by identifying and developing safe and reliable groundwater resources. WGA has been engaged to provide supervising hydrogeologist services over a ten-week timeline, ensuring the technical integrity of all drilling and aquifer testing activities.
Technical Solutions
The scope of the works included the drilling of up to 11 investigation bores, dependent on the results and the construction of up to 3 production bores and the supervision and analysis of 3 aquifer tests.
The team is onsite full-time to supervise drilling activities, conduct lithological logging, oversee casing installation, cementing and gravel packing, monitor bore development and advise on completion and supervise and report on pump testing of production bores.
