ADL

Den is a geometric designer of infrastructure specialising in major highways and interchanges, heavy and light rail and tramways. With over 28 years experience, he brings an excellent knowledge of a wide range of building methodologies and project management skills to his role as a Senior Principal Designer.

A well-rounded, pragmatic designer who looks at design from all perspectives including safety, constructability and maintenance, Den creates geometric models in both concept and detailed design phases.

Having worked with a broad range of designers, contractors and road authorities across Australia from Sydney to Newcastle, Townsville, Darwin and Adelaide, Den has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of different building guidelines and works well with road authorities to formulate practical design solutions.

Den highlights the Adelaide North South Corridor as the most impactful project that he has been involved with, working across a range of heavyweight operations including; Northern Expressway, Northern Connector, Superway, Torrens to Torrens, Darlington and Southern Expressway. He believes this corridor is an essential part of Adelaide’s development and economy, citing that these projects help to bring communities together and improve safety by taking heavy vehicles off of the local network, and creating a faster freight route for industry.

Den is driven by results; seeing projects come to life from conception to completion provides him with a sense of satisfaction that first inspired his interest in the field of engineering.

Den’s project experience includes:

  • Superway – DPTI Secondment
  • Northern Expressway
  • Southern Expressway – Stage 2
  • Bruce Highway Upgrade – Corduroy Creek to Tully High School
