Adam James Regional Manager - NT
DWN
Adam James is a Senior Principal Structural Engineer with a primary background in building structures.
His career started as an undergraduate engineer on a 6-month placement in the UK, a stint that helped him decide to make a permanent move to the warmer climates of Darwin.
Since then, Adam’s expertise has extended to various sectors over twenty-plus years, from small-scale projects to those exceeding half a billion dollars, showcasing his adaptability and skills across the board.
Helping builders and contractors develop solutions tailored to the available materials, resources, and site constraints brings out Adam’s dare-to-be-different spirit. For this reason, he particularly enjoys Design and Construct projects, where he can add value to the project and the community by minimising the overuse of materials.
Adam doesn’t just stop at projects; he’s passionate about the growth of the industry and nurturing the future engineering minds. In addition to mentoring within the office, he has worked as a casual lecturer at Charles Darwin University and held various volunteer roles with Engineers Australia and other professional boards and committees.
