Joining WGA in 2016, Carmen has been integral to the growth of WGA’s Defence, Space and project management capabilities across Australia.
Beginning her career as a Structural Engineer, Carmen understands the technical components of projects and the critical knowledge and skillset needed for detailed design, collaboration and integration between engineering disciplines.
Carmen now undertakes the role of SA Operations Manager, a first for South Australia and Project Manager, working across multiple sectors, and assisting the ongoing success of the SA business.
Her project management skills involve management of a design team, stakeholder engagement, contract administration and project controls. A career highlight has been her significant involvement in the Waterproofing Eastern Adelaide project, which she found highly rewarding being part of a project which is helping improve South Australia’s water security and sustainability. Carmen gained invaluable experience through managing complex stakeholder requirements and numerous construction contractors and achieved a national AIPM award for her work.
Carmen is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and holds a Certified Practising Project Manager accreditation.
