David Ewers is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over eight years of experience as a Structural/Maritime Engineer. His expertise spans a range of markets, including Ports & Marine, Resources, and Buildings.
David’s passion for engineering was sparked in his teenage years during a trip to Italy, where the resilience of Roman infrastructure left a lasting impression. What began as an interest in engineering history evolved into a successful engineering career, leading complex projects and honing both his technical proficiency and leadership capability.
David is known for delivering innovative design solutions and building strong client relationships. One of David’s career-defining accomplishments was managing the SeaLink ferry terminal upgrade project on Kangaroo Island, where he oversaw design and delivery while coordinating multidisciplinary teams. His ability to balance technical excellence with effortless collaboration continues to shine in every project he undertakes.
Based in Hobart, David now leads WGA’s Tasmanian business expansion, supporting maritime, resources, and transport clients across the state. He is also an active contributor to the Ports and Maritime industry and currently serves as Chair for PIANC Tasmania.
