Jude is a Certified Practicing Project Director with over 20 years’ experience in this field, combined with 10 years as a consulting project manager. Joining the WGA team in July 2015, Jude is responsible for developing and managing the Defence portfolio. Jude has a project management ethos that focuses on design, budget, stakeholder, risk management and communication requirements. Through his passion to understand the nuances and differences in stakeholder requirements, Jude has cultivated a reputation for working collaboratively with clients to achieve outstanding outcomes.
With a background in civil construction, Jude has supervised infrastructure projects whilst in the military including road, airfield and water retaining structure construction. During military service Jude worked in numerous countries including the UK, Papua New Guinea, USA, New Zealand, Israel, Syria and Iraq. These postings have provided Jude with an appreciation for diversity. He understands through his various roles, that there are many different ways to get things done.
As a consulting project manager, Jude has managed numerous major studies and the design and construction of a number of civil and structural projects. A career highlight has been his involvement in the National Atlas of Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems. A mark of innovation recognized with an international award in the Netherlands, the project embedded every available piece of current scientific literature on groundwater ecosystems and overlaid this over a complex-mapping tool developed in conjunction with CSIRO that enables groundwater managers to make informed decisions over the use of groundwater in Australia.
Jude is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
