Jess is a chartered chemical engineer with 14 years’ experience delivering brownfields pipeline projects from concept through to construction. Jess’ onsite experience includes copper and uranium minerals processing and fuel storage. Jess has an intimate knowledge of the OD process and BHP systems, given her delivery in Owner’s Teams including Heap Leach, Geometallurgy, Integrated Planning over the last 5 years.
She is both a chartered chemical engineer and mathematics specialist with experience in the resources industry, including copper and uranium minerals processing and fuel storage. Jess has developed the advanced data analytics, statistics and machine learning capabilities of Inception and demonstrated the advantages of a data science approach to metallurgical processing. Jess has delivered technical input and data analytics for plant operations and process design criteria including copper concentrator, copper and uranium heap leach, uranium hydrometallurgy and ore characterisation. She has been responsible for pilot plant design, commissioning and operation as well as data analysis of complex process streams.
Jess led technical input into BHP demonstration plant operations, including interpretation and analysis of copper and uranium heap leach data. She also delivered technical input into front end and detailed design of fuel storage facilities on complex brownfields sites for Terminals Pty Ltd Port Botany, Viva Energy Newport, Melbourne including cost estimation, PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies, engineering specifications and procurement assistance.
